Binding Agreement

Using GreenHat—browsing while logged in, posting, joining groups, using chat or contests—means you accept these Terms, our Code of Conduct, and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the site. We allow pseudonyms; you don't have to use your real name, but the same rules apply to your account and content.

Who Can Use the Platform

You must be at least 13 years old. By signing up you confirm you meet the age requirement and that you're not barred from using the service under the laws of your jurisdiction (e.g. sanctions, export controls, or local restrictions). We reserve the right to ask for proof of eligibility if there's a dispute.

Acceptable Use—No Gray Area

GreenHat is for legal, ethical security research and community discussion—pentesting, bug bounty, CTF, tooling, careers, and learning. You may not use it for unauthorized access to systems, distributing malware, credential stuffing, phishing, or any activity that violates computer-fraud or similar laws. Harassment, hate speech, doxxing, spam, and incitement are prohibited and are grounds for immediate suspension or ban.

We run a restricted-word filter on discussions, replies, and direct messages. Terms that are offensive, sexually explicit, or that promote illegal activity are blocked server-side; if your message contains one, it won't be sent. Bypassing the filter, testing it to find blocked terms, or using alternate spellings to evade it is also against the rules. The full list isn't published to avoid gaming; the intent is to keep the community usable for everyone. See the Code of Conduct for behavior standards.

Content You Post—Ownership and License

You keep ownership of the content you create. By posting it on GreenHat you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content on the platform (including in feeds, search, and groups). We need that license to run the site—e.g. to show your reply in a thread or your post in a category. We don't claim ownership of your work; we don't use it for marketing or training models outside the product.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't upload anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights. If we get a valid takedown notice we may remove the content and/or suspend the account; repeat infringers can be terminated.

Suspension and Termination

We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or the Code of Conduct. We don't have to give advance notice for serious violations (e.g. abuse, illegal activity). You can delete your account yourself at any time from your profile or by contacting us; after that you lose access and we handle data as described in the Privacy Policy.

On termination your right to use GreenHat ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. indemnity, dispute resolution, license grants for content already published) remain in effect.
